See New Training Dates for Shortlisted INEC ADHOC Staff for 2023 General Elections in the 36 States

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has listed out approved dates for training of her ADHOC Staff for the 2023 general elections scheduled for 25th February and 11th March, 2023, see more details below.

This training is for all categories of the electoral officials of POs and SPOs in preparation for the 2023 general elections coming up in the country in few weeks time.

This Update from the secretary to the commission:

Training Dates listed below

  1. The Commission at its meeting on Thursday 1st December 2022 approved the conduct of the Cascade Training for all categories of Election Officials for the 2023 General Election.
  2. The trainings will now take place in the state and Local Government Areas as follows:
  • Supervisory Presiding Officer Training (SPO): 11th – 12th February 2023 (2 Days).
  • Presiding Officer/Assistant Presiding Officer Training (PO/APO): 14th -16th February 2023 (3 Days).
  • Collation Officer/Returning Officer (CO/RO) Training: 21st – 22nd February 2023 (2 Days).
  1. The Commission, through The Electoral institute (TE) will deploy its Trainer, Supervisors and Monitors to assist the state ensure the success of this critical Trainings.
  2. The Commission has also remitted all Logistics for the seamless conduct of the above-mentioned trainings to the states.
  3. According to INEC, the Timelines ‘stated above supercedes any previously communicated Timelines by the Commission.
  4. The Commission, through the Electoral institute will continue to communicate all necessary information to the states through their State Training Officers.
